Neurodivergent Business Coaching
Your neurodivergence is core to the success of your business. The freedom, flexibility, and income you're aiming for comes from working with your brain, not against it.
What can we work on in neurodivergent business coaching?

- Neurodiversity foundations: We'll explore your unique neurodivergent profile, helping you understand your strengths, challenges, and needs in a business context.
- Neurodivergent business and marketing strategy: We review your strategy with your neurodivergence in mind, or create your ND-friendly strategy from scratch.
- Better business processes and organisation: We figure out ways that you can get stuff done with less stress, with awareness of your executive functioning needs built in.
- Manageable marketing and planning: We create simple, non-overwhelming plans, and devise an approach to marketing that fits with your values.
Loads of neurodivergent people opt to run their own business. It’s often a great fit for our creative minds and love of flexibility and freedom.
In practice though, our differences can make it really hard to keep all the plates spinning.
Expecting yourself to run a business the same way other people do can be draining and stressful, because your brain doesn’t work like that.
You can end up feeling like you’re just not cut out for entrepreneurship, when what’s actually needed is to do business your way.
As a neurodivergent business owner myself, I get it. I tried all the tools, set all the goals, tried to manage my time better. But I still ended up frazzled and underperforming, because I didn’t actually understand my strengths and challenges, or my best ways of working.
Once you design your business with an understanding of your neurodivergence at its core, things can feel very different.

What can you gain from neurodivergent business coaching?

- Increased confidence and compassion: overcoming inner obstacles and self-criticism through a better understanding of your neurodivergence.
- Reduced stress and overwhelm: develop strategies to maintain focus on your priorities, and better manage your workload and time.
- Improved boundaries and communication: protect your energy and be clear on your needs (whether you tell other people about them or not).

My story as a neurodivergent business owner...
I started my first business in 2008, as a web developer and designer. After that, I moved into tech and marketing, running software development projects and eventually working as a Head of Marketing before going freelance again as a marketing consultant.
It sounds easy when I say it like that, but I was struggling behind the scenes, and it eventually lead me to burn out (not long after my diagnosis of ADHD, autism and dyspraxia). I was ‘doing business’, but at a high cost to me personally – extra hours, heaps of masking, chronic stress.
I started practicing as a business coach before my diagnosis, but it was my neurodiversity journey that changed everything for me as an entrepreneur. I received neurodiversity coaching myself, then tailored my post-graduate certificate with the University of Chester to focus on neurodiversity. I’ve since completed further specialised training in neurodiversity coaching, along with neuroscience and trauma-informed approaches.
My priority this time around was to create a spacious, sustainable business where I could be myself and dive deep into the things I’m passionate about. Flexibility is also key, so that I can keep re-inventing and creating as the business grows, in a way that fits with my neurodivergent way of thinking and working.
